What our condition grades mean

A grade describes how a pre-owned device looks, not how it works. Every device we sell is tested and fully working, whatever its grade. Our grades run from Acceptable to Open Box: Acceptable, Good, Excellent and Open Box.

    Visible wear on the body

    Same 6-month warranty

    Light signs of wear or micro-scratches

    Same 6-month warranty

  • Excellent

    Few to no visible signs of wear

    Same 6-month warranty

  • Open Box

    Unused, box opened

    Same 6-month warranty

A device with a fault is graded Defective and is never sold on this shop.

What goes into a grade

A pre-owned grade is a standard rating of a device's cosmetic state. It tells you what to expect before you buy, so nothing about the device surprises you when it arrives. Three things decide it:

  • How many marks it has: scrapes, scuffs and other signs of use.
  • How much the previous owner used it.
  • What packaging it comes in.
